Words to Live By - by Neil Gaiman

I'm not sure, but I would have to guess that this is one of the most shared quotes of our age.

It is, for sure, one of the loveliest.

From Neil Gaiman

"May your coming year be filled with magic and dreams and good madness. I hope you read some fine books and kiss someone who thinks you're wonderful, and don't forget to make some art -- write or draw or build or sing or live as only you can. And I hope, somewhere in the next year, you surprise yourself."

May we all remember these words - and try our ever lovin' best to live by them.

and keep the magic in our lives as long as we can.

What a wonderful quote and a fabulous photograph. Happy New Year, dear friend. May it bring only good things to the Barley household.

This is one of my favorite quotes, too. I wish the Barleys and all Kaye's readers/friends a healthy, happy, and prosperous 2012, filled with good books and the time to read/write.

Awesome! I'd not seen this one before but am sure going to save it. One of the folks I follow on Twitter had some wise words too on New Year's Day. She said "It's a good day to ask yourself "What am I done with forever? And...what would I love to replace it with?" Wise questions from Marie Osmond.

I feel so sad when I meet someone who doesn't feel the magic. Life is wonderful, even during its worst moments. Happy New Year, Kaye!
