Antiques Booth Update

So.

Remember that booth we set up at Antiques on Howard?

We could not be happier with how well it's going!

Our main goal is to get rid of some things.

AND, to make a little money, of course.

Since our hope is to, at the very least, sell enough to cover our rent, we are well ahead of the game - Yay!!

Every box in the storage building has been gone through, contents sorted and either tossed, given away, or repacked to go to the booth.

Except . . .

Except Christmas stuff.

Another story for another day.

Suffice to say it's hard for me to part with Christmas things.  Even things we haven't used in awhile.  Most of those little ornaments have a story and a memory attached.  Those Christmas boxes will happen at another time.

And yes, a few things have come back into the house.  But not much!

And a few things are still being studied.

Annabelle seems to have become attached to Ella Fitzgerald.

And while I agree that Ella is damned special and this autographed poster holds a place in my heart, I don't think there's a single place on a single wall in our little house that has room for it.

So.  It's staying in the storage building.  Annabelle and I will enjoy it while we're out there.

And eventually we'll be spending quite a bit of time out there now that it's pretty close to being functional.

We've  set up a desk and some tables so I can work on my collages and have room to spread things out and not worry about the mess.

Donald has hung some lighting for me.

And I will finally have that room of my own.

I can spread papers, paints, buttons, found objects, lace and glue and whatever over a large surface, walk away and go back to it at a later time.

And I can also finally take my on-line encaustic paint class that I've bought everything for.

I'm excited.

If you're local, or if you're ever in the Boone area, be sure you check out Antiques on Howard.  And ask where Booth #19 is so you can take a look at what we have for sale.

There's a pretty cool display case full of very cool jewelry - LOTS of vintage!  Check it out.

I love going by there to restock and see what's been sold.

So far, it's a very fun thing.

Oh, I thought of that as a room of your own before I even reached that line in your blog. Good for you, Kaye! Well, probably a room for you and Annabelle. Hugs to both of you!
