Spring has finally come to the mountains!

After a long cold icy snowy blowy winter, we are happy to see spring in these North Carolina mountains.

Yesterday was Art in the Park day.  A monthly happening in Blowing Rock from May through October.

Locals, tourists and dogs all happy to wander around seeing what's on display and for sale - some beautiful jewelry, pottery, photography, woodwork, weaving, and much more.

Then we spent the afternoon on The Blueridge Parkway, which is always a wonderful way to be reminded how awesome Mother Nature is in her art.

Have you ever seen such blue blue skies and fluffy white clouds?

While enjoying the view from one of the many overlooks, Donald spotted a cross affixed to one of the trees.  There's a story here, I only wish we knew what it was.

And then, dinner at Bella's.

Where the pizza is delish!

But I decided I wanted Veal Marsala instead.  (But the pizza that didn't get eaten by Donald came home with us, of course!  Yay - Pizza today, too!)
