More Paris - More wandering . . . Deyrolle, The Louvre, Tuileries Garden, WHSmith, Café Marly

"Flâneur (pronounced [flɑnœʁ]), from the French noun flâneur, means "stroller", "lounger", "saunterer", or "loafer". Flânerie is the act of strolling, with all of its accompanying associations. A near-synonym is boulevardier."

And that pretty much sums up how we spent this day.

After spending much of the day before in the wonderful Musee d'Orsay, neither of us really wanted to spend another day in a museum.  And, I have been to the Louvre, and while I loved being there last year, I do not love it as much as I love d'Orsay.

So. Donald and I decided to wander over there and get some pictures of the pyramids, do some people watching and wander through the shopping section (well, okay, the shopping thing was my idea . . .), and just see where our feet decided to take us.

Coffee and hot chocolate at Cafe Marly while people watching around The Louvre is one of the loveliest of small pleasures of Paris.

More tomorrow . . .

I recognize Fontaine Saint Michael! But, the best part was seeing you with Whimsey. I still love it that Whimsey is in Paris at WH Smith.
